- Corrosion Resistance
The steel has a raised resistance to the effects of water and steam, diluted HNO3 and weak organic acids. It resists to corrosion better when hardened condition, but unfortunately is not delivered for production reasons.
- Weldability
Good, conditional - preheating to 250-400°C with occasional reheating during welding according to the extent of the welding. Provide a slow cooling after welding. Subsequently it is necessary to anneal the castings at temperature of 700-720°C.
- Machinability
Good
- Application
For blades of water turbines, fittings, etc. The steel is applicable to various parts of industrial funaces, as a suspension for shaped brick lining, etc, where resistance to carburizing waste gases containing elemental sulphur up to 600°C is needed, with a higher content of Carbon up to 700°C. It is also applicable to the production of glass moulds.

On agreement, it is possible to produce the steel with a lowered content of C (carbon).
- Corrosion Resistance
Very good resistance to classical corrosion and acid HNO3, very diluted acid H2SO4, weak and diluted solutions of organic acids.
- Weldability
Guaranteed - preheating is not necessary. Short interrupted weld beads are recommended, for reduced heat conductivity of steel. After welding a new austenization is necessary!
- Machinability
Good
- Application
Castings to be used in the chemical, food, cooking oil and paper industries, etc., with operation temperatures up to 400°C. The steel cannot be used as heat resistant regarding to its low carbon content.

On agreement, it is possible to produce the steel with a lowered content of C (carbon).
- Corrosion Resistance
Very good resistance to classical corrosion and acid HNO3, very diluted H2SO4 and to other unorganical and organic acids.
- Weldability
Guaranteed - preheating is not necessary. Short interrupted weld beads are recommended, for reduced heat conductivity of steel. After welding a new austenization is necessary!
- Machinability
Good. The cutting threads in slots by screwing taps made of tool and high-speed steel is more difficult.
- Application
For fittings, pumps and other items for the chemical, fatty, food, paper, textiles and similar industries.
For the production of cellulose, in textile dye works, etc., at operational temperatures up to 450°C. At lower content of C (Carbon) up to 500°C and contemporary increasing content of Mo. The steel cannot be used as heat-resistant.
